Abstract
A breast thermogram is a pictorial representation fo the infrared radiation of breast cancer. To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of breast thermography, author analyzed 40 cases of patients with breast cancer that had been treated for 1 year
from
January 1991 to December 1991 at the Department of Surgery in Chonnam University Hospital.

3) The most frequent site of breast cancer was upper outer quadrant (57.5% versus 42.5%).
4) Using Amalric's classification. Author found the thermographic classification of 40 carcinomas to be the following: THI 30%, TH2:5%, TH3:20%, TH4:12.5%, and TH5:32.5% of 40 cases, 26 patients (65%) were above TH3.
5) The diagnostic accuracy of mammography and ultrasonography were 90% and in thermography, 32.5%.
